We are pleased to announce the register will be holding its’ annual Zed Day, at The Shuttleworth Collection in Bedfordshire on 21st September 2025 from 10:30 am.

Open to all Zed cars and their Rover counterparts, we celebrate nearly 25 years of these great cars.

Tickets are on a per car basis, with driver and passenger receiving a 30 day ticket to the museum and Grounds.

MGCC members can access discounted entry tickets, details in the Members’ group.

Over the coming months, I’ll be announcing a range of further attractions at the event.

We are pleased to announce we will be attending the Post Abingdon Weekender, which returns to Toddington Station on the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway as part of the Rover 120 & MG 100 anniversary celebrations.

Saturday 3rd August sees the show ground open at 10am to the public. There is a road run through the Cotswolds for those wishing to take part, pride of ownership, traders and much more!

Sunday 4th August – the show will open from 9:30 to 16:30 when we will be celebrating all things MG & Rover – two of Britain’s greatest car marques. There will be traders, autojumble, pride of ownership as well as being able to travel through the beautiful Cotswold countryside on a heritage train.

The Register will be hosting a weekend long Summer Gathering at this years Post Abingdon Weekender – which returns to the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway in the Cotswolds. Our aim is to bring together as many zed cars as we possibly can.

We are pleased to announce there will be dedicated register parking  / Stand for Zed Cars to be displayed together.

On Saturday 3rd August, the show will open from 10am to 4pm, there will be a Road run through the Cotswolds for those wishing to take part, Pride of Ownership, Trade Stands and Car club Displays.

On Sunday 4th August there will be a Rover & MG Historic Timeline displays, Pride of Ownership, Trade stands & Car Club Displays.

The Pride of Longbridge event scheduled for Saturday 13th April 2024 has unfortunately been cancelled due to the venue being severely waterlogged. With more rain forecast for this week there is no prospect of Crofton Park dying sufficiently for the event to proceed. However the ZR/ZS/ZT Register has been able to secure an alternative event at the Churnet Valley Railway – Further details below.

A statement has been published by Pride of Longbridge founder and coordinator, Gemma Cartwright confirming the news some of us were dreading surrounding PoL potentially being cancelled this year.

“Following a site visit today, the Park is water logged worse it has been for over 12 years. Sadly POL 24 is cancelled. We have tried to source a space on the redevelopment sadly there is water there as well: POL team is sad for this to happen this year. The Parks also stated they had to cancel an event in August of last year due to the weather. Please accept our apologies.”

To confirm, the 120 Years of Rover – 100 Years of MG Longships and Octagons event is still taking place on the Sunday.

Alternative Event – Churnet Valley Railway

Following the unfortunate cancellation of Pride of Longbridge 2024, the Register team are pleased to announce The Rover 120 & MG 100 Partnership have secured a venue for Saturday 13th April.

This extends their all model, anniversary celebration – Longships and Octagons into a weekend event.

120 Years of Rover – 100 Years of MG

We are pleased to announce this years Post Abingdon weekender will return to Toddington Station on the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway ! but with a twist …..

Saturday 3rd August sees us holding an exclusive social, limited to just 50 cars, at the piston club just outside Stratford Upon Avon, we will then depart around 12 O’Clock for a road run through the Cotswolds arriving on site around 2pm. The show ground will open to the public for an afternoon of events, activities, traders etc.

Sunday 4th August – The Main Event ! – from 9:30 to 16:30 we will be celebrating all things MG & Rover two of Britain’s greatest car marques, there will be traders, autojumble, pride of ownership as well as being able to travel through the beautiful Cotswold countryside on a heritage train.

The ZR/ZS/ZT Register will be at the Lancaster Classic Car Show at the NEC next week (10-12th November). We will be there together with the main MGCC stand, the FWD and MGF Registers and the Young Members Branch. We will have 3 interesting cars on display that we have not had before. Come along and say “hi” and meet the committee members, get help and advice or purchase some merchandise. We will be on stand 3-342 in hall 3.
